Detail

Currently, agricultural and biomass substitute materials have garnered significant interest from the industry. There has been a development of materials capable of replacing high-efficiency synthetic materials. Natural fibers are another material of great interest due to their abundance. They can be sourced from various raw materials, including seeds, leaves, husks, and stems, either cultivated specifically for fiber extraction or from agricultural industrial byproducts. Natural fibers are utilized as reinforcing agents, replacing synthetic fibers in plastics and concrete. They are used as sound insulation, thermal insulation, and as absorbents for oil or heavy metals.

Technology strengths

This new process is simpler to manufacture, can be operated at room temperature, and does not require pressure.

The resulting fibers are small and uniform, achieved using chemicals and relatively simple tools.

It can be scaled up for industrial production.
