Detail

Consuming adequate calcium to meet the body’s needs helps prevent calcium loss from the bones. However, calcium is a mineral that the body absorbs poorly due to complex mechanisms, even in normal conditions. It may be hindered by other minerals consumed simultaneously. In some cases where the body requires more calcium than usual, absorption may be insufficient despite consuming a large amount. For example, in the elderly, whose bodies may absorb less calcium than average, or in certain conditions where the body’s calcium absorption is reduced. These situations may lead to calcium deficiency. Researchers have developed a beverage product fortified with calcium and zinc chlorophyll to enhance the absorption of calcium and zinc in the intestines. This product is suitable for general consumers who may not consume enough calcium, those at risk of calcium deficiency, or individuals with high calcium needs, such as pregnant women, adolescents, and the elderly, especially those showing signs of osteoporosis.

Technology strengths

It is possible to increase the number of slides to as many as 8 per petri dish for fungal cultivation. This amounts to 4 times the basic method of fungal cultivation on slides.

Reduce the time required for repetition.

Decrease the amount of nutrients used for cultivation.

Reduce the presence of other contaminants by employing the traditional slide culturing technique.
