Detail
In wastewater treatment, preliminary treatment is necessary, which involves separating oil and grease first. Alternatively, other methods may need to be explored or additional equipment may be used to enhance faster decomposition. Currently, in the market, there are various types of grease traps or oil traps, most of which utilize the principle of oil having less mass than water for separation. Grease floats on the water’s surface and needs to be skimmed off for disposal. If not removed, accumulation will occur continuously, resulting in foul odors from the decomposed oil and grease.
Therefore, the inventor has devised a grease trap device designed as a triangular box with inclinations and various components to facilitate the management of oily wastewater. It can collect oil and grease, ensuring a higher concentration than conventional skimming methods, and reducing the time required for grease trapping. It minimizes direct contact with oil and grease, maintaining the efficiency of oil and grease trapping. The device prevents oil and grease buildup, thus avoiding blockages.
