Mahidol University and the University of Strathclyde to establish an international research and innovation network
On February 18, 2025, Mahidol University hosted a strategic meeting with the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, UK, to foster collaboration in research and innovation. The meeting was presided over by Prof. Dr. Piyamitr Sritara, President of Mahidol University, who warmly welcomed the delegation from the University of Strathclyde, led by Professor Duncan Graham, Associate Principal and Executive Dean of the Faculty of Science, alongside Gillian Docherty CBE FRSE, CBE, Chief Commercial Officer; Mr. Julian Taylor, Managing Director of International Operations; and Dr. Prakaiwan Vajrabhaya, Global Partner Locations Manager.
Executives from Mahidol University also participated in the discussion, including Prof. Dr. Sansanee Chaiyaroj, Advisor to the President for Research; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yodchanan Wongsawat, Vice President for Research; and Assoc. Prof. Nopraenue Sajjarax Dhirathiti, Ph.D., Vice President for Global Partnerships and University Council, along with representatives from various faculties and departments.
On this occasion, INT – The Institute for Technology and Innovation Management Mahidol University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Viriya Taecharungroj, Director, and Ms. Onwalun Lohitharn, Deputy Director for Technology and Intellectual Property Utilization, engaged in discussions with the delegation from the University of Strathclyde. The exchange focused on sharing experiences and strategies for supporting the Innovation Ecosystem, aiming to strengthen research and innovation collaboration between the two institutions.
