Detail

Thailand has entered an era of an aging society, resulting in an increased proportion of elderly individuals. However, there is a shortage of personnel with knowledge and experience in elderly care. Producing competent and specialized personnel requires a significant amount of time and resources. Furthermore, they must possess emotional intelligence, be able to assess behavioral trends and potential problems among the elderly, provide timely advice, and offer appropriate assistance. One significant and common issue among the elderly is mental health problems such as anxiety, stress, and depression, which if left untreated, can develop into serious mental health issues. Currently, medical robotics technology is being applied to assist in elderly health care, focusing primarily on physical health monitoring. However, there is still a lack of attention to mental health issues

The innovators have developed elderly care robots based on this invention to monitor and detect undesirable emotional and mental states in the elderly. These robots are designed to assess behavioral trends around the clock, prevent and assist the elderly in dealing with issues such as depression, stress, anxiety, and memory problems

Technology strengths

The robots are capable of autonomously engaging in dialogue with the elderly, analyzing emotions, and assessing behavioral trends based on the sentences spoken to them. This is achieved through artificial intelligence (AI) systems and dialogue management systems. Additionally, the robots can track behavior around the clock

The robots can prevent and assist the elderly in dealing with issues such as depression, stress, anxiety, and memory problems

The robots can assess adverse emotional states in the elderly (Mental problem recognition), including depression, anxiety, and stress

Be a private remote mental health consultation channel between users and psychiatrists
