The Zanthoxylum-based innovation developed by Prof. Dr. Waranun Buajeeb, who has successfully developed the local medicinal plant Zanthoxylum (‘Prik Phran’)—traditionally known for oral health care and anti-inflammatory properties—into safe, effective, and standardized health and dental products. This demonstrates the potential of Thai herbal medicine to evolve into industrial-scale innovation with real social and economic impact
This partnership represents more than business value—it is a strategic model of collaboration between university, researchers, and industry to drive Thai research into commercialization, creating lasting benefits for the economy, healthcare, and society.
